BatchPurifier

Take digital photos for example. Alongside what you see in the image, they feature metadata and other hidden data. For privacy reasons, it would be best to get rid of this hidden data. This is where BatchPurifier comes in. Load one or multiple photos into BatchPurifier and this application will scrub them clean of any metadata and hidden data.

The system requirements for running BatchPurifier are: 600MHz processor, 256MB or RAM, 40MB of free disk space, .NET Framework 4.0, Windows operating system (any edition from XP and Server 2003 SP2 onward). It’s safe to say that modern and even older PCs will have no problems meeting these system requirements.

BatchPurifier has a wizard-like interface. This means that the interface will take you through all the steps you need to take to “purify” some images for example. You will be taken though the following steps:
Files Selection – load some files into BatchPurifier. Support is provided for 25 file types, including JPEG, PNG, AVI, MP3, MP4, PDF and Office documents.
Filters Selection – select the hidden data types you want BatchPurifier to remove.
Output Options – choose to overwrite the original files or save the purified files to a folder of your choosing.
Purifying files – BatchPurifier will process the files you loaded into the application.
Done – a report that presents info about the files BatchPurifier processed.

The free BatchPurifier LITE can process JPEG images only. Upgrade to the full edition to process other files types. I remind you that BatchPurifier supports 25 file types (click here to view a complete list).

BatchPurifier works as advertised. It takes the files you give it and removes all metadata and hidden data.
